Bodies That Matter
A one day and one evening event exploring the cross-over between art, artist and performance through the medium of the peer critique, making the discussions many young artists engage in as an open forum event to include the public.
Up to twenty artists will display and discuss their work during the day, culminating in some Fast & Furious presentation talks on performance by Annabel Frearson and boyleANDshaw.
The event is free and open to all from 14.30 – 20.30
Afternoon event:
14.30 – 16.30
Open Crit
Evening event:
18.30 – 20.30
Evening talks & open mic:
Invited speakers to give Pecha Kucha style presentations (20 slides, 20 seconds on each) on performance and performativity in relation to their own practices.
After a short break, there will be an open-mic session for three artists/students etc to present in the same format.
